Audioplan of Germany's Kontrast IIIsi
loudspeaker, shown in apricot wood-veneer finish, is a two-way design with isolated
enclosures for the woofer and tweeter drivers. The price is 5000 per pair.

M&K of the United States showed a
cosmetically upgraded version of their LCR-750THX Mk II loudspeaker in light-maple
vinyl-veneer finish. The LCR-750THX is part of the 750 Mk II THX Select 5.1 home-theater
system that retails for $2700 USD.
 
The bold name of Arcus's First Class lineup
says it all. The speaker is the First Class Floorstand, which retails for 8000
per pair. The electronics, from top to bottom, are: First Class CD Player
(700 ), First Class Amplifier (700 ), and First Class Tuner
(400 ).

Progressive Audio showed a prototype of the
all-aluminum CD1 top-loading transport, priced at 5000 .

Progressive Audio also displayed the Pearl
three-way loudspeaker available in a variety of wood-veneer finishes. The price is
8700 per pair.

Pluto Audio showed the
wood-and-aluminum-constructed 2A Special turntable. With Vibraplane VP-2212 platform, Jun
Air compressor, stainless steel system support stand, and 5A Special titanium tonearm, the
total price is 38,550 .

Martion's Bullfrog loudspeaker is as thick and
bold as its name. This two-way design features a 15" woofer and a coaxially mounted
1" tweeter. Efficiency is said to be 96dB, and the price is 3200 per
pair.

Loudspeaker-maker Duevel showed its first
solid-state integrated amplifier. The 2900 Shuttle includes a MM/MC phono
stage, uses zero negative feedback, and is said to deliver 70Wpc into 8 ohms. A black
faceplate is also available. |
