The High End Society, organizers of this
annual show, announced at the press conference today that after more than two decades at
Frankfurt's Kempinski Hotel, next year's show will move to Munich and be held at the
Munich Order Center May 20-23, 2004. The Society promises that the flavor of the Kempinski
exhibits will be maintained, but that the new venue will allow for even larger rooms for
even more impressive exhibits.

Nordost's Lars Kristensen shows the company's new Valkyrja
interconnects and speaker cables, which are priced 40% lower than the company's
statement-level Valhalla cables: $2000 USD for one-meter interconnects and $2800 for
one-meter speaker cables.

Ultra Audio's Paul Messenger was on hand for a demonstration
of Acapella's top-of-the-line Triolon Excalibur loudspeakers. After the impressive
demonstration, Paul exclaimed, "That actually sounds like a real piano!"
And that, of course, is what it's all about.

And that speaker is shown here.
Acapella's Triolon Excalibur never fails to attract and impress huge crowds.

The folks from Perreaux said that they had to
endure 24 hours of flying time (42 hours total including transfers!) to get from New
Zealand to Frankfurt. Martin Van Rooyen (center) holds the company's new 450
SXV1 phono stage from the new Silhouette series. On Martin's left is Brendon Willets, and
on his right is Clinton Jensen.

Hearing Yoda dispense his endless words of
wisdom in German proved to be an interesting experience.

Speaking of dispensing words of wisdom, Dr.
Joseph D'Appolito (right) is a well-known American audio consultant now doing some work
for Usher Audio of Taiwan. Lien Shui Tsai is the president of Usher Audio. |
