Polk Audio has jumped the gun with its
LC265i-P IP-addressable loudspeaker, which won't be available until mid-2005. This speaker
converts network packets into sound with an onboard DSP engine that also provides
amplification -- 100 watts to the woofer, 75 to the midrange and 25 to the tweeter. The
LC265i-P will cost $3000 per pair once available.

Innersound continues to churn out new
products. From top to bottom are the production versions of the iControl preamp ($4500),
the crossover/bass amplifier for the Kaya Reference speakers ($20,000 for entire system),
and the DPR-500 Reference stereo amplifier ($13,000).

A solar-powered coffee table? Nope.
Innersound's new Tehya hybrid center-channel speaker ($6500) mates an ESL panel to dynamic
woofers.

Classé's Delta lineup of electronics looks
stunning. The final product in the line, to begin shipping in December, is the CDP-300
universal A/V player, which will cost around $9000.

Sony's LocationFree TV is a WiFi compatible TV
with e-mail and web-browsing capabilities. It is completely portable -- you can carry the
screen from room to room and leave the receiver/CPU behind. The 7" LF-X5 costs $1099.
If the concept takes off, expect to see similar products flooding the market.
