Renate Paxa (right) and her daughter Anne-Marie of the High End Society worked tirelessly to ensure that the show ran smoothly for the members of the press who attended.

Finland's Amphion is certainly a fast-growing company whose products have impressed various SoundStagers in the past couple of years. In 2002, the Argon2 speaker was named a Reviewers' Choice and also received an end-of-the-year award for Best Product Debut. In 2002, Wes Phillips at onhifi.com declared the Xenon loudspeaker the product of the year. Petteri (left) and Anssi Hyvönen hold the company's Impact 500 active subwoofer featuring a 12" downward-firing woofer and 500W digital amp. It will retail for about 2500 €.

VTL's Luke Manley had just flown in from the US, but despite the long trip he was in good spirits. He arrived in Munich for the world debut of his S-400 all-tube stereo amplifier ($20,000 USD).

German designer Norbert Lehmann (left), maker of the well-known Black Cube SE phono stage, a SoundStage! Hall of Fame award winner, was exhibiting his range of products. His son David was also on hand to help with the "family business."

TAD's Andrew Jones stands proudly beside his Model-1 loudspeaker, which was part of the six-speaker shootout featured as a Standout Room. The Model-1 sells for $45,000 per pair in the US.
