The face of show coverage.
Posting a report on High End 2004 nightly
involves flying for 12 hours between home and Munich; coping with the jet lag that a
six-hour time difference brings; having five days of nearly sleepless nights in a hotel
with seemingly non-existent air-conditioning; carrying on endless debates with Jeff Fritz
about which of the six speakers in the super-speaker
shootout was really the best, world events, the ingredients in hot dogs, and
where we'll go for supper so he can find a suitable pizza to eat; enduring the slow speed
of AOL's dial-up access and maintaining patience during AOL's delivery of Britney Spears
news articles to my screen; buying expensive lunches at the show venue that aren't good
enough to eat for free; and editing 100 or so photos and uploading the corresponding
pages, with the very last part being done right now, with this photo and
page.
There -- it's online. We're finished, done.
Until next year....
