This band played in the Bösendorfer room
while the company set up its speakers. The piano, of course, is a Bösendorfer.

Gingko Audio put on a convincing demo of its
component platforms. Using measuring devices and a computer for readout, Gingko showed not
only the effects of vibration and resonance on electronics (in this case, a CD player)
graphically, but also allowed visitors to its room to switch back and forth to hear the
differences.

A close-up of Gingko Audio's computer screen.
On the left is a readout for a CD player that does not use one of the company's Cloud 10
platforms ($300), and on the right is an identical CD player on a Gingko platform.

Pierre Gabriel's holographic display sign
challenged Doug Schneider's photographic skills, but after a couple of tries, Doug was
able to capture this image...

...and then this one from the same sign.

We photographed the Aurum Acoustics active
speaker system at last year's Son & Image show, but this year's version is far more
finished. The system ($24,000 CDN) includes the speakers, Integris Active 300B amp and all
cables. On top of the rack is the Aurum Acoustics CDP CD player/preamp ($8000).
