Signature and Statement are here!

Le Festival Son & Image marked the first time Paradigm had an active display at a consumer-based trade show of the new Signature-series speakers and Anthem Statement electronics. The result was worth the wait. Using a home-theater system consisting of Signature S8 main speakers ($5400/pair in cherry finish), Signature C5 center-channel speaker ($2500 in cherry), Signature ADP surrounds ($2300/pair in cherry), along with the new Anthem Statement A5 multichannel amplifier ($2499) and D1 processor ($4999), the Signature/Statement combo played to astonishingly high levels while remaining exceptionally clear and articulate. The front-channel blend between the S8s and C5 was seamless with a scene from Chicago, while on X2, the Servo subwoofer ($3200 in cherry) proved to be a powerhouse.

The two-channel demo using the Signature S4 speakers ($2600/pair in cherry) and an Statement A2 amplifier ($1299) playing music from Eva Cassidy was lower-key but no less impressive. Both Marc and Doug were struck with how deep the S4s could go, and as with the S8s, how loud and cleanly they could play. In fact, until he verified exactly what equipment was being used, Marc thought that the larger S8s were playing throughout the demo and not the S4s at all.

Anthem Statement D1 surround-sound processor/preamp ($4999).

Anthem Statement A2 amplifier ($1299).

Anthem Statement A5 amplifier ($2499).
