Revel showed the brand-new Concerta lineup,
which includes models for stereo and home-theater use. Prices range from $650 per pair for
the M12 minimonitors (second from left) to $1300 per pair for the F12 floorstanders (far
left).

Two new Revel Performa models were also on
display: the floorstanding F52 (far right, $6500 per pair) and F52 center-channel speaker
(far left, $2495 each).

Polk Audio continues to branch out from
loudspeakers with its I-Sonic entertainment system ($599), which receives digital
AM and FM HD radio, plays CDs and DVDs, and includes auxiliary inputs suitable for
connecting an iPod. The I-Sonic will begin shipping in early 2006.

A decade ago, MIT's new Oracle Digital
Reference ($1299 per meter length), Magnum Digital ($899) and Shotgun Digital ($599)
cables would have been used for two-channel audio almost exclusively. Today they're
home-theater products first and foremost.

MIT also displayed another recent trend for
cable makers: in-wall wiring. This is made all the more difficult for MIT because of its
networks. The company's solution shown here costs about $1000.
