Jeff Fritz (left) and Doug Schneider can't
agree on world politics, what makes for a good movie, who makes the best loudspeakers, and
even where to eat. But they do agree that walking five kilometers in the pouring rain
wasn't the best idea either has had. Is it going to stop raining for at least one day
of the show?

Rain outside makes for a bustling High End
exhibit hall inside.

Unlike the High End show's more rustic roots
back when it was held in the Kempinski Hotel in Frankfurt, the main-floor exhibit area in
Munich is looking more and more like CEDIA and CES. High End has established itself as one
of the premiere specialty audio/video shows. We plan to attend every year.

Jeff Fritz stands with Flemming Rasmussen of
Denmark's Gryphon Audio. Although Gryphon didn't display here this year, they promise to
be in Munich in 2006.

Audio Aero's Jean-Paul Combelles, who came to
the show from France, is shown with some of the newly revamped Audio Aero products that
will begin shipping shortly. From left to right are the Prestige two-channel SACD player
(9900 ), Capitole Reference CD player (8500 ), Prima integrated
amplifier (2400 ), and Prima CD player (2100 ). Under the Prima CD
player on the far right is another Prima integrated amp in the silver finish. [www.audioaero.com]

If you knew what Jeff just stepped in on the
sidewalk, you wouldn't wonder what he's doing in the grass.
