We heard the Green Mountain/Flying Mole system on the first
day of the RMAF, and we thought very highly of it. Still, it was early in the show; surely
other systems would impress us more and earn Standout honors. Not! This system
held a spot in our consciousness with its high resolution and dynamic precision. Flying
Mole DAD-M310 mono amps ($995 each), a Birdland DAC, and a Sony CD player used as a
transport fronted Green Mountain Audio Continuum 3 speakers ($16,995/pair) to produce a
lasting impression -- even amidst an entire building of audio systems trying to create the
same thing.
