The new top-of-the-line cable from Analysis Plus is the Golden Oval, which uses gold-over-copper conductors and sells for $1995/meter pair.

German speaker manufacturer Audio Physic has launched a line of electronics that includes the Strata mono amp (top, $15,000/pair) and Strata phono stage ($2500).

We first encountered the Brinkmann brand in Frankfurt, Germany. In Las Vegas, Brinkmann again outfitted almost an entire system, including with this elegant turntable/tonearm/cartridge/stand/tube-power-supply combination, which costs $18,000.

DeHavilland's GM-70 SET monoblocks use the relatively unknown Russian GM-70 tube to produce 30 watts each. DeHavilland anticipates making the amps, which cost $10,000/pair, on a special-order basis.

Bel Canto's popular DAC1 has been replaced by the DAC2 ($1500), which uses the same case and upsamples to 24 bits/192kHz. The upgrade from DAC1 to DAC2 will cost $500-$600.

Amphion's new Creon speaker ($2200) has what looks like three pairs of speaker binding posts. The middle set is actually for adjusting the bass output.
