VAC
VAC's demo system was unique given all of the
new digital-based equipment on display elsewhere at CES. VAC's
Avatar Super integrated amp ($5500) drove a pair of Thiel CS3.6 speakers -- a very
well-known model. The analog source was a Clearaudio Champion turntable with Graham
tonearm and Clearaudio cartridge. The sound was detailed and easy on the ears -- a
desirable combination for any analog addict.
