Vienna Acoustics' new Waltz wall-mount
surround speakers are available in either black or beech finish for $650 each, or rosewood
for $750 each.

DH Labs' Ultimate RCA is made of "more
than 99% pure copper," which reportedly makes it much more conductive than other RCA
connectors. A pair of Ultimate RCAs cost $32. DH Labs' Revelation interconnects use
Ultimate RCAs and cost $350 per meter pair. [www.dhlabs.com]

The Harmonic Resolution Systems M1R rack uses
the company's M3 isolation bases as shelves. In the configuration shown, the rack costs
$8900, but other shelf sizes and complements are available. [www.avisolation.com]

Just as the sign says, the Von Gaylord Audio
Uni monoblocks ($28,000 per pair) are liquid cooled -- an alternative to a cooling fan,
says product literature. A glass cylinder filled with special cooling fluid encases the
tubes, including a pair of 3CX300A1s.

Acoustic Systems debuted an entire line of
speakers in spherical milled-wood cabinets. The key to the sound produced by these
speakers, according to the company, is the acoustical properties offered by the spherical
enclosures. The Sound-e-Motion M100-20 loudspeakers cost $5600 per pair.

This show special ($29.99 for the entire 5.1
system!) would have been a ShowStopper had it been available outside CES. The company,
Forgings Ltd., had this and other low-priced powered surround systems for sale at the
show.

The VRS Revelation is a new breed of high-end
playback device. It's a carefully constructed computer on which owners store their music
-- and play it back from the hard drive. The Revelation is available in several
configurations that range in price from $4000 to $10,000.

Here, the designer of the Revelation
discusses its software.
